The Baldwin County Amateur Radio Club calls an informal net
every Monday at 7:00 pm local time on 147.090 (+ 600
and 82.5 Hz. tone). We also call an Amateur Radio Emergency Service net on
this repeater at 7:00 pm on all but the third Thursday of each month.
Our nets are not restricted to club members; all
licensed amateurs are invited to participate!
The Weeks Bay Repeater
The Club owns a VHF repeater located where Weeks Bay joins Mobile Bay.
The frequency is 146.685 (– 600). A CTCSS tone of 82.5 Hz is required
for access. This Yaesu repeater accepts input from both analog and
Fusion remote units. A battery backup system provides sustained
operation during utility outages.
There is an impromptu schedule on the 146.685 machine
every morning about 0730. Gathered parties discuss a variety of topics;
e.g., technical, legal, medical, law enforcement, political, and many
other issues. Tune in or join in
The Amateur Radio Club at
Westminster Village Retirement Community
The Amateur Radio Club of Westminster Village (AB4WV) in Spanish Fort holds a SIMPLEX
net on Saturday mornings at 9:00 am local time on 146.520 MHz.
Everyone is invited to check in and
try out their rigs/antennas on SIMPLEX. Pattilynne, KM4ZGB, is
usually the NCS.
